Acceptable Use Policy

Content that is not allowed

Ordery may not be used to host, publish, promote or link to:

• pornography, sexually explicit material, adult sexual services or obscene sexual material
• illegal products, services or content
• fraud, scams or phishing
• malware, malicious links or anything intended to compromise a device or an account
• fake restaurants or businesses that do not exist
• impersonation of another business or person
• a misleading business identity
• material that infringes a trade mark, copyright or other intellectual property right
• hateful or unlawfully discriminatory content
• promotion of terrorism or violent extremism
• serious criminal activity
• content prohibited by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates

Conduct that is not allowed

The following are also prohibited, whatever is published:

• registering a restaurant name in order to hold it rather than to trade under it
• creating restaurant identities in order to block a legitimate business from using its own name
• deliberately reserving several names that mislead about who a business is
• claiming to represent a business without its authority
• interfering with the security, integrity or availability of the service

What Ordery may do

Where it is reasonably necessary, Ordery may review a restaurant’s public identity or content, ask for verification that a business is who it says it is, refuse publication, suspend a restaurant’s public page, remove content, release a restaurant name so that it can be used by the business entitled to it, or terminate an account.

Ordery does not review every change a restaurant makes. Everyday menu work — prices, descriptions, categories, availability, photographs of food — is the restaurant’s own, and is published without review. What is reviewed is the public identity a restaurant presents, and anything reported or otherwise brought to Ordery’s attention.

Reporting a problem

A business that believes an Ordery restaurant page impersonates it, infringes its rights or breaches this policy can contact Ordery, and should include enough detail to identify the page and the right being asserted.
