How Ordery handles information. Ordery is operated by LORANIUM TECHNOLOGIES L.L.C..
What Ordery processes
Depending on how the service is used, Ordery processes:
- business and account information — the name and email address of the person using the Dashboard, the restaurant’s details, and account settings
- restaurant content — menus, prices, images and the settings a restaurant chooses
- order information, where QR ordering is used — the items ordered, the table or location, and where a restaurant collects them, a customer’s name, telephone number and delivery address
- technical and security information — IP addresses and request logs, device and browser information, the cookies and browser storage the service actually uses, and security events
- subscription payment information — the records of what a business has been charged for its Ordery subscription
Payment details
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on the payment provider’s own hosted page and are held by that provider. Ordery stores the records it needs to account for a subscription — such as an amount, a date and the provider’s reference — and not full card numbers.
Why Ordery processes it
Information is processed in order to:
- provide the service and operate accounts
- process subscriptions and keep billing records
- support ordering between a restaurant and its customers
- keep the service secure and investigate abuse
- provide customer support
- improve the service
- meet legal and regulatory obligations
Who information is shared with
Ordery shares information with the service providers it needs in order to run: hosting and infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, content delivery and security, and professional advisers where that is necessary. Those providers may only use it to provide their service to Ordery.
Ordery does not sell personal data.
Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Restaurants and their customers
Where a diner places an order through a restaurant’s Ordery page, the information they give is provided to that restaurant so that the order can be fulfilled. The restaurant is responsible for how it uses that information in its own business.
How long information is kept
Information is kept for as long as it is needed to provide the service, to keep proper business and accounting records, and to meet legal obligations. Some records — such as those relating to payments — are kept for longer than an account is open because the law requires it.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, a person may ask what information Ordery holds about them, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where Ordery is not required to keep it. A request should come from the account the information relates to, or with enough detail for Ordery to identify it safely.
Changes to this policy
Ordery may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
